This smoothie is whipped up in a matter of seconds and then topped with fresh berries. Made with our Blueberry + Banana Pinole, with an extra boost of antioxidants and vitamins wrapped in delicious fruit accents.

Total Prep Time: 5-7 min

Yield: 1 medium smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 large banana
  • 185 g frozen berry blend
  • 1 Tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tsp Blueberry + Banana Purely Pinole
  • 1 Tsp almond butter
  • 125 mL almond milk
  • 2 Tsp fresh mixed berries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 Tsp toasted coconut

Directions:

  1. Measure out all ingredients.
  2. Peel and roughly chop the banana. Add to your blender, along with the frozen berry blend, lemon juice, Blueberry + Banana Purely Pinole, almond butter and almond milk.
  3. Blend on high until completely smooth and pour into a bowl.
  4. Top with mixed fresh berries, chia seeds and toasted coconut. Serve and enjoy!

    I have always enjoyed fruit smoothies, but never considered adding greens and other veggies to up the ante. I have to admit that at first, it really didn’t sound too appealing. However, from the very first day that I added some fresh baby spinach to my banana, soy milk, and frozen strawberries, I was utterly hooked! It tasted wonderful and I noticed the positive side effects immediately. They helped to reduce cravings for sweets and aided in my digestion and elimination. (Sorry to have to bring up that topic so quickly, but without healthy elimination of wastes, we are bound-literally speaking-to be unhealthy and unhappy).
